Sigrid is the Curator of the VRC, a teaching resources unit for the Department of Art and Art History. In addition to administrative responsibilities, she supervises all accessioning, cataloging and classification activities for the Visual Resources Collection. Originally trained in Publishing in Germany, Sigrid later received a B.A. in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin, a M.A. from the University of Virginia, and her Ph.D. also from UT. Her areas of research are Medieval and Renaissance Art in Italy. She has regularly taught for the Department's Study in Italy Program. She has led numerous adult study tours to Italy, and is the coordinator of the popular UT Continuing Education Humanities Lecture Series.
